Victoria Falls, Zimbabwe

Victoria Falls, Zimbabwe – 2008. After spending a week in South Africa we headed north to spend a couple of days at Victoria Falls, Zimbabwe. We stayed at the Victoria Falls Hotel which is an Edwardian-style five-star hotel built in 1904. It is well maintained, the service is first class and it, along with the falls, is a world heritage site. You can't ask for too much more. Unfortunately, like everything else in Zimbabwe at the time, it was suffering from political unrest - menu, drink and shopping choices were all very limited. That aside, it was a great place to stay.
